In the 2026/2027 season, the Czech Philharmonic will appear in more than twenty concerts abroad as well as six performances across the Czech Republic. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov, works by Dvořák, Smetana and Rachmaninov will be heard in Europe’s leading concert halls and at major festivals. Soloists joining the orchestra include Janine Jansen, Behzod Abduraimov, Seong-Jin Cho and Mao Fujita.
After a two-year absence, the Czech Philharmonic returns to Lucerne’s Culture and Congress Centre, for the first time with chief conductor Semyon Bychkov and the Korean pianist Yunchan Lim. Music by great Czech composers is heard alongside Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major.
Concerts by the Czech Philharmonic at the Dvořák Prague Festival are already a tradition. For this year’s festival, the Czech Republic’s leading orchestra has sought to bring original dramaturgy and great artists to its home, the Rudolfinum in the heart of Prague.
The Czech Philharmonic appears regularly in the country neighbouring to the east. This time at the Bratislava Music Festival, they will appear with conductor Elim Chan and violinist Gil Shaham in a programme of Czech and Russian music.
After a long absence, the orchestra is appearing on Brno’s top stage. With the conductor Vasily Petrenko, Janáček’s Sinfonietta is heard alongside two works that perfectly suit the theatre—Stravinsky’s Petrushka and Bartók’s Wooden Prince.
An autumn tour takes the Czech Philharmonic to Belgium, Spain, and France. Besides works by Czech and Russian composers, the orchestra is bringing along two pianists—Behzod Abduraimov and Mao Fujita.
The Karlovy Vary Municipal Theatre will resonate with the Czech Philharmonic for the fifth time. On this occasion, the orchestra will perform with violinist Jan Mráček under the baton of conductor Petr Altrichter. The evening’s program will feature works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Antonín Dvořák.
Two concerts each at London’s Barbican, Vienna’s Musikverein, and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, one in Amsterdam, and one in Linz. The April tour will feature music by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Bedřich Smetana.
