Tours and Festivals

The Czech Philharmonic has prepared a rich season with 30 concerts outside Prague across two continents. Under the baton of top conductors, it will perform in Asia, Europe, and at prestigious international festivals. Highlights include the completion of the orchestra’s Mahler symphonies recording cycle, and a series of concert broadcasts for TV and online audiences.

Germany and Benelux 2026

In April, the Czech Philharmonic embarks on an intense nine-day tour with eight concerts across Germany and the Benelux. Each evening begins with Dvořák’s sparkling Carnival Overture, followed by Elgar’s Cello Concerto featuring Sol Gabetta, and concludes with Stravinsky’s thrilling The Rite of Spring.

Bad Kissingen has been one of the regular destinations of the Czech Philharmonic in recent years. She will visit here again in July 2026 with conductor Dalia Stasevska and will perform two concerts.

Summer festivals

Summer festivals

In August 2026, the Czech Philharmonic will appear at two summer festivals in Northern Europe. After more than 50 years, it will return to Stockholm to perform at the Baltic Sea Festival and to Helsinki for the Helsinki Festival. Under the direction of Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov, the orchestra will perform with Janine Jansen and Yunchan Lim.

After a two-year absence, the Czech Philharmonic returns to Lucerne’s Culture and Congress Centre, for the first time with chief conductor Semyon Bychkov and the Korean pianist Yunchan Lim. Music by great Czech composers is heard alongside Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major.

Slovakia

The Czech Philharmonic appears regularly in the country neighbouring to the east. This time at the Bratislava Music Festival, they will appear with conductor Elim Chan and violinist Gil Shaham in a programme of Czech and Russian music.

Belgium, France, and Spain

Belgium, France, and Spain

An autumn tour takes the Czech Philharmonic to Belgium, Spain, and France. Besides works by Czech and Russian composers, the orchestra is bringing along two pianists—Behzod Abduraimov and Mao Fujita.

Variations 2026

The Karlovy Vary Municipal Theatre will resonate with the Czech Philharmonic for the fifth time. On this occasion, the orchestra will perform with violinist Jan Mráček under the baton of conductor Petr Altrichter. The evening’s program will feature works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Antonín Dvořák.

European tour

European tour

Two concerts each at London’s Barbican, Vienna’s Musikverein, and Hamburg’s Elbephilharmonie, one in Amsterdam, and one in Linz. The April tour will feature music by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Bedřich Smetana.
