A Lair Full of Percussion
Become apprentice magicians in the percussion kingdom, where the wizard Pavel Polívka lives. Everyone will feel safe there, like in a lair, even if there happens to be rumbling thunder, rain, or a stampede of horses.

The workshop focuses on rhythm and getting to know percussion instruments like tympany, xylophone, glockenspiel, and snare drum, along with commentary and demonstrations by the Czech Philharmonic's percussion magician. In the first half, we learn a few basic rhythms, making sounds and noises with our bodies, then in the second half we use them to become a part of the fairy tale "The Stray Tympanist".
The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
