2025/26 will be the jubilee 20th season of Steps to the New World, and our dear conductor Marko Ivanovič is celebrating a round-numbered birthday, so we will hear pieces dear to his heart and several others he himself composed. Besides parts of Dvořák's Seventh and of Mozart's Jupiter Symphony, we will hear the conclusion of Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. We will get a glimpse of Mark0's music through the song cycle Little Words and a suite of music from The Jungle Book.
The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
