Special Concerts
The season begins with Opening concerts conducted by Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov. Pianist Seong-Jin Cho returns as soloist in Ravel’s Piano Concerto, and the orchestra continues its Tchaikovsky project with a performance of the Fifth Symphony.
The annual November Velvet Revolution Concerts will be conducted by legendary maestro Zubin Mehta, joined by soprano Lucy Crowe, mezzo-soprano Okka von der Damerau, and the Prague Philharmonic Choir for Mahler’s Symphony No. 2. The popular New Year’s and New Year’s Eve concerts will be conducted by Robert Kružík, and the season will once again conclude with the open-air concert on Hradčanské Square, dedicated to Jiří Bělohlávek.
