Recitals
This is the fifth edition of the Recital Series as part of the Czech Chamber Music Society’s wider season. Despite not running for long, the series has already hosted some of the top solo performers in the world and for this jubilee 130th season, it will be no different.
Launching the Recital Series in late September is Grammy Award winner Daniil Trifonov, this year’s Artist-in-Residence with the Czech Philharmonic. In December, the Czech Chamber Music Society welcome Czech stars Václav Petr, cello concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic, and pianist Martin Kozák, for a recital of music by Beethoven, Suk and Shostakovich. Following his successful recital in February 2022, Federico Colli returns to present his piano artistry for the series’ third concert. Finally, the series ends with what promises to be an extraordinary recital by baritone Michael Volle who was recently heard at New York’s Metropolitan Opera as Verdi’s Falstaff.
